No much to report really. This is a Vetus strainer and better quality than some of the cheaper chandler own-brand versions. The design could be slightly more user-friendly so one can get straight access to the mounting bracket slots but it is possible if an Allen bolt or cranked screwdriver is used. this design issue is the reason for only 4 Stars. Fortunately, Gael Force managed to get this item delivered without problem. (Last time I got a pair of antlers and not the sail battens I ordered! Don't ask - it's a very long story and was not all down to Gael Force!)

All VETUS cooling water strainers are provided with a transparent cover, allowing easy inspection of the filter without dismantling. Cleaning of the filter can be achieved quickly and easily. Due to the large active surface however, the filter seldom needs to be cleaned.
