Sikaflex-291i is well known amongst boaters across the country as the multi-purpose adhesive sealant for use in marine construction. It is suitable for making elastic, vibration-resistant joint seals, and can also be used for the adhesive bonding of teak deck and for a variety of interior and exterior sealing applications. It bonds very well to materials commonly used in marine construction. Suitable substrates include wood, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (two-part systems), ceramic materials and plastics (GRP, etc.).
This did the job of re-sealing windows on a 1973 Princess 32 very well. However, I bought this material rather a long time before I was able to complete the job which meant the sealer was actually at its "use-by"date when applied. The only problem was the gun-force needed to expel the sealant which I am confident would have been much easier with freshly prepared sealant.
