Seagold Plus is developed from our renowned Seasteel fibre. Weights of the floating ropes are between 25% and 35% higher than British Standards and leaded ropes are between 10% and 15% higher than normal. The rope has a very hard lay preventing the ingress of grit and other abrasive particles, which can destroy the inside of the rope. The sizes quoted are nominal, as Seagold Plus has such a generous diameter that the ropes are heavier than some of the next largest size supplied by our competitors! It is expected that with the abrasion resistance, breaking strength and oversize diameters that Seagold Plus, while much more expensive than standard ropes could be the best value investment you could make in creeling and potting ropes! Creeling and Potting, Areas of strong tides and hard seabed conditions, any other use where high breaking strengths together with high abrasion resistance are required.
