Why didn't I get free shipping?

  • We have specific criteria for our free shipping offer and it is likely that your order did not meet some or all of that criteria:
    • Applies to single orders of non-bulky items over £100 (after discount or promotions) using standard delivery.
      • ​If you can't wait, you can opt for express delivery at a reduced rate of £4.95.
      • If some items are not in stock, you may need to wait a little longer until the order is complete to dispatch.
    • Destination: UK mainland, Scottish islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Scilly Isles only.
    • Size of item: Non-bulky items up to 30kg in weight and 1.5m in length only.
      • ​Excludes flares/pyrotechnics, batteries, liferafts, engines, boats, knives, large quantities of chain and rope (not limited to this list).


What if the product is out of stock?

  • This will be stated on the product page and throughout checkout. You will also be notified in your order acknowledgement e-mail.
  • Products normally take 10-14 days to arrive at our premises from our suppliers.
  • We will contact you within 1 working day if we discover that a product will be out of stock longer than 14 days.
    • Some product pages state the date stock is due. In these cases, our team will not contact you as the due date is available when ordering. Your order will not be dispatched until stock arrives.
  • You can sign up to receive an email when a product comes back into stock. Just click "Email me when back in stock" on the product page and enter your email address.
  • Stock levels on the website are for Inverness only. Stock may be available in our Plymouth branch. Call us to find out if stock is available in Plymouth if "out of stock" online.


When will my order be dispatched?

  • We aim to dispatch orders within one working day of your order being placed, subject to stock availability. 
  • Orders are processed manually which means we only dispatch orders on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
  • Orders placed after 12pm on a Friday will not be dispatched until Monday.


When will my order be delivered?

  • Once the order leaves our premises, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery time and date.
  • Our standard services take 3-5 working days once dispatched. Please wait 5 working days before contacting us in the event of a delay.
  • Our express service takes 1-2 working days once dispatched. Orders must be placed before 12pm for same-day dispatch. Orders placed after 12pm will be dispatched the following day/following week for a Thursday.
  • Our couriers do not normally deliver on the weekend and we cannot guarantee that you will receive your order on a Saturday.

Can my order be left at my house if I am out?

  • All our orders are sent by courier and all packages require a signature. Goods cannot be left without a signature.


Known exceptions to normal service:

  • Easter Weekend - Orders placed on Good Friday/Easter Monday will be dispatched on Tuesday as couriers do not operate on these days. Express Delivery not available.
  • May Day - Orders placed on May Day Monday (or Friday prior) will be dispatched on Tuesday as couriers do not operate on these days. Express Delivery not available.
  • Bank Holidays - Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be dispatched the following day as couriers do not operate on these days.
  • Christmas - Gael Force closes on 25th/26th Dec. Orders placed on 24th Dec may not be delivered until the New Year. Orders placed between Christmas & New Year may not be processed and will not be delivered until the New Year. Express Delivery not available.
  • New Year - Gael Force closes on 1st/2nd Jan. Orders will be processed the next working day. Express Delivery not available.

As we are an ISO 9001 registered company, we are required to comply strictly with the regulations on the shipping of hazardous equipment, and this means using an ADR-registered courier to ship any product with a hazardous label. The charges below are reflective of what our couriers charge us.

Regrettably, we cannot deliver the hazardous/restricted products to the following GB postcode prefixes:

  • BT (Northern Ireland).
  • GY & JE Postcodes (Channel Isles).
  • IM (Isle of Man).
  • PO30-41 (Isle of Wight).
  • TR21, TR25 (Scilly Isles).

EU Shipping (Non-hazardous/Non-bulky products)

Orders sent with Parcelforce. We cannot send hazardous goods, bulky items over 30kg and items over 1.5 metres in length to international destinations. We reserve the right to decline any order for hazardous goods destined for an international location. Hazardous items include, but are not limited to antifouling paint, lifejackets, co2 gas cylinders, liferafts, flares, paint, harmful liquids, and outboard engines.

We are aware of customs delays once your order arrives in the country which means some orders may take several weeks to arrive with you, despite speedy despatch times from our warehouse. Unfortunately, once your order is with customs, we are unable to instruct them to fast-track deliveries and must wait for the process to be completed. Although this is outwith our control, we apologise for the inconvenience caused and encourage you to consider this when placing your order and allow plenty of time for your order to arrive.

Deliveries to BFPO Addresses 

Delivery charges to BFPO addresses will vary. If you require delivery to be made to a BFPO address please contact us prior to placing your order and we will happily give you a quotation.

We understand and appreciate that not all customers intend to use their purchases immediately and require time to get down to their boat to check the suitability of a product.  With this in mind, we are pleased to offer customers a generous 30-day returns policy with the following terms; 

Goods may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of receipt without query. We cannot, however, refund or exchange goods that have been damaged after acceptance, Category C kits, books, charts, software (if unsealed) or goods that have been personalised or made to order such as rigging, cut and/or spliced lengths of rope, chain & wire. For goods purchased in-store, these must be returned as new and in their original packaging. Where goods made via mail order or on our website are being returned, we kindly advise you to return items with the original packaging where possible.  When returning goods please obtain and retain the proof of carriage. To speed up the credit of returned items please complete the form found on the rear of the original delivery note.

To enable the smooth processing of returns, we kindly advise that before returning any goods you call us on 01463 229400 or contact to obtain a “Returns Code”, then fill out the details below using the code along with our details and your reason for returning the goods. By following this process, your return will be processed quicker.

For items delivered which have arrived damaged or faulty, Gael Force Marine will arrange an uplift. Any damages or shortages must be reported to us within 3 days of receiving the consignment. The goods shall be replaced or credited upon satisfactory inspection at our premises. Products under warranty may be returned to us for repair or replacement subject to the original manufacturer’s terms. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Please note that in all cases of returned goods, we are unable to supply alternative products for temporary use whilst items are being returned or assessed under warranty.

Your Right to Cancel

Law requires us to inform you, the customer, of your right to cancel.  Your right to cancel an order for goods ends 14 days after you receive your goods. To cancel, you must inform us in a durable medium – for example, by post or email. You must also return the product(s) to us at your own cost. You are legally obliged to ensure that the product(s) are returned to us in the same condition as sent by us. If not, we reserve the right to refuse acceptance of the product(s).
