History

Gael Force Marine Equipment is part of the wider Gael Force Group which has grown from a Hebridean based manufacturer of fishing creels and pots to a multifaceted marine business serving markets throughout the UK and Europe.We are proud of our Celtic origins which have shaped the culture with the Group - a culture which has developed with the sea and islands at its heart and an attitude to work and business based on a resolve and determination to meet challenges, overcome obstacles and identify and reach for opportunities at any level.

Approach

Our approach to work and business is straightforward - we value customer relationships and strive always to deliver a level of service and supply which exceeds expectations, based on a philosophy which says 'whatever we do today, we can do better tomorrow'. This approach has allowed us to grow the company from its Western Isles start up in 1985 to a recognised position today as one of the most successful companies in its field serving a UK and European wide customer base in 3 distinct industries - marine equipment, aquaculture and engineering.Our Group currently employs over 150 people in four locations across the country. We source, stock and supply in excess of 14,000 items of marine equipment for the Commercial Fishing, Commercial Marine, Aqualculture and Leisure Marine markets. Our unique position as a marine equipment wholesaler with a UK wide sales force and retail, mail order and online supply of major marine brands gives us buying power to offer competitive prices to our trade customers and BuySmart pricing direct to the end user.

Product

Gael Force Marine manufacture, specify and source marine equipment for commercial and leisure use. Our experience and knowledge of product performance in some of the most demanding marine conditions in the Northern hemishpere over a period of 28 years gives us a competency in this area which few other marine equipment suppliers can equal. We continuously review and assess new products and sources of supply throughout the world to ensure we are able to bring to our customers equipment that is not only fit for purpose but offers a high level of value for money, whether it will be used in the hard environment of commercial fishing or the less demanding area of recreational boating.Our annually produced Marine Products Catalogue illustrates and lists over 12,000 products which are available through our online shop - www.gaelforcemarine.co.uk - by mail order and from our Marine Megastore. Our Inverness megastore is the first of its kind in the UK - 7500 square feet of showroom/shop and attached warehousing with storage capacity for 4000 cubic metres of racked product.
