The Drainman is a fully automatic bilge pump, powered by the tug at the mooring created when the boat moves from the wind and waves. The Drainman’s capacity is enormous; powered entirely by the movement of the mooring rope, it can pump up to 2,500lit water per 24h. The Drainman is made from tough materials with a tensile strength of up to 10,000 Newton. Drainman is a reliable companion when you have become tired of marine covers or of constant bailing.
Drainman is tested in tough conditions and performed extremely well.
How is it attached?
The Drainman is performed with two loops, one on each side. One loop is connected to a mooring line by means of a shackle or a snap-hook, the rope is then attached to the mooring point, for instance on a jetty.
The loop on the other side is direct connected to the boat, such that the Drainman is attached between the boat and the fixed mooring point.
The suction hose is placed in the lowest point internal the boat (the keelson), where it can easily drain the water.
How does it work?
Inside the bellow at the Drainman there are two valve seats, one on each side and between those there is a spring strainer. The spring helps the bellow to compress and expand. The two valves stop the water to flow backwards.
At the end of the hose at the bottom of the boat there is a strainer to hinder the intake from blockage and an eye bolt to keep the hose in place.
